Eloise Woods

Community Natural Burial Park

Eloise Woods Community Natural Burial Park : 115 Northside Lane, Cedar Creek, Texas 78612

From Austin: From TX HWY-71 turn right 4.2 miles east of the airport at Kellam Road. Drive 1.2 miles to Pearce Lane (HWY 535).  Turn left and drive east for 6.9 miles. The burial park will be to your left. Go past Northside Lane (which is the west side of the park) about 600 ft. to the MAIN ENTRANCE on the east side of the park.  Look for the colored flowers on the fence. The gate may be closed but will not be locked. There is a chain wrapped around the post which has scary-looking locks hanging from it - but they are not locked to anything. Just unwrap the chain from the post and pull the gate open towards Pearce Lane (it does not swing inwards towards the park).  You can leave the gate open while visiting and close it behind you when you leave.

From Bastrop: From TX-71 West turn left (to head southwest) on HWY 21. Turn right on HWY 535 (also called Pearce Lane) for 2.1 miles. The cemetery will be on your right.

If coming from the south (San Marcos) or north (Waco) take the toll road (130/45) and exit at Pearce Lane. We are 8.6 miles east.

NOTE: There are no facilities in the park. No electricity, no bathrooms or water. One mile east on Pearce Lane is the Bastrop County Annex which is open on M-F from 8-5 and has a restroom. There is also a gas station with a restroom 2 miles east at the junction of Pearce Lane and HWY 21.

When visiting the park please dress like you're going for a walk in the woods (long pants and closed shoes are sensible). Remember insect spray! There are chiggers and other insects in the warm weather months.
